*GENERAL DESCRIPTION: *

*The position of SharePoint Systems Analyst is for an Information Technology
professional with 3 - 5 years of IT experience and 1 - 3 years of experience
in SharePoint 2007 *website development/migration/support, customer service,
application support, project life-cycle processes, project management,
business analysis, and system testing/quality assurance.  A dedicated,
detail oriented individual with experience working both independently and in
teams with the flexibility to handle multiple roles and learn new
applications/roles as needed.

The candidate must have extensive experience working as a liaison between
business partners and technology colleagues.  Additionally, the candidate
must have excellent written and verbal skills and should be able to express
the designs to both end-users and technical development staff (internal and
external). The candidate should also possess excellent facilitation and
requirements gathering skills.


*RESPONSIBILITIES:
*
1.        Provide first level support for users and troubleshooting
technical issues and defects.  Responsible for site content and structure
updates as well as training users in SharePoint 2007 and team site
administration.  Work closely with the business owner and management to plan
and implement new features and updates in a timely manner.
2.        Responsible for day-to-day support for numerous Microsoft
SharePoint 2007 sites and applications.
3.        Microsoft SharePoint 2007 subject matter expert for the Web Portal
team - responsible for recommending ways to utilize out-of-the-box and
custom developed functionality to improve internal processes, communication
and accessibility.
4.        Maintain site content and structure while working closely with the
business owner and management to ensure accurate and timely updates.
Responsible for training business users in the tools and applications
available and resolving minor day-to-day support issues.
5.        Extensive e-mail, phone, and face-to-face work with business users
from assistance with support issues to content/application migration and
capacity planning.


6.        Responsible for collecting the business requirements and
converting them into a Business Requirements Specification under approved
System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
7.        Develop and maintain detailed project documentation including a
project plan.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.        Extensive knowledge and hands-on Microsoft SharePoint 2007
experience - REQUIRED
2.        Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills with the ability
to interact with business and technical IT  - REQUIRED
3.        Strong Analytical and problem solving abilities - REQUIRED
4.        Experience developing applications within a System Development
Life Cycle (SDLC)  Methodology - PREFERRED
5.        Bachelor's Degree.  (Computer Science preferred) - PREFERRED
