1. Senior level contractor to design and implement testing procedures
for web and client based applications.
2. Current development is focused on E-Commerce, online document
filing, and work flow management.
3. Technologies currently implemented include .Net, C#, Visual Basic
6.0/ASP, SQL Server and related web development tools and products.
4. The selected contractor will work as a member of the Application
Development Team and will provide hands on testing of applications during
and after the establishment of the new testing procedures.
*5. *Candidates with a working knowledge of Microsoft web development
products and tools, troubleshooting, problem resolution skills, and
excellent customer service skills will receive first consideration.
**
*--Responsibilities will include all of the following:*
§ Develop technical procedures, methodologies, metrics, checklists, and
standards.
§ Identify, document, and apply best practices for software quality
assurance.
§ Evaluate software development procedures used to verify that programs
function according to user requirements and conform to establishment
guidelines.
§ Work with Network Services Section to evaluate and test application
performance/security.
§ Review new or modified programs, including documentation and
specifications, to determine if program will perform according to user
request and conform to guidelines.
§ Identify differences between established standards and user applications
and suggest modifications to conform to standards.
§ Develop and maintain test plans, manual and automated test scripts for
user interface, functionality, system and 'ad-hoc testing'.
§ Execute regression tests, functional tests and data tests.
§ Report, track, and help determine priority of reported bugs.
--*Experience requirements:*
§ 4-7 years of quality assurance or test manager experience in the web
development field or in a related area.
§ Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures used
in web based application development
§ Prefer applicant with hands on application development experience,
ideally in the .Net environment.
