Location:WI

Duration: 6-9 months

Rate:$40/hr

 

 

Responsibilities:

- Build reports off of transactional database systems

- Interact w/program teams or business units to understand requirements,
translate requirements into specifications, turn specs into design

    (ie - Ability to translate client or functional requirements into
technical syntax)

- Perform quality review and auditing of reports

- Act as the "gatekeeper" to production reporting environment

- Write efficient queries (analyze and re-write as necessary)

- Support reporting environment (report break/fix, modifications, etc)

- Support corporate standards for report design, formatting and delivery

 

Requirements:

- expertise w/SQL Server Reporting Services 2005 and 2008

- minimum 3+ years experience w/RDBMS, specifically SQL Server 2005 - 2008

- minimum 3+ years w/SQL, T-SQL

- ability to develop queries against transactional database systems

- experience in a multi-server, multi-database environment

- ability to develop reports utilizing up to 20 or more tables and objects
which span multiple databases

- experience developing and modifying stored procedures, views and user
defined functions

- experience w/Visual Studio

- testing skills

 

Preferred Candidates Would Have:

- experience working in a complex reporting environment with multiple
terabytes of data

- Reporting Architecture / Design

- Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse experience

- Database Administration and/or Architecture experience

- SSIS experience

- ETL experience

- Business Analyst/requirements gathering experience

- Quality Assurance experience
