This position is for the security operations team, which provides 24 x 7
security monitoring, problem resolution, and incident response. Expectations
are to provide incident response and problem resolution for UNIX & Directory
(LDAP) security issues and related products.  In addition, provide security
analysis on industry threats and vulnerabilities.  This position requires
shift flexibility and participation in "on call" coverage and the use of a
rotating pager/cell phone. Additional expectations; Follow established
procedures, use tracking tools, documentation tools, and a knowledge
database to document, resolve or escalate incidents within established
guidelines.

Note: This position is focused on the day to day maintenance and support of
the security related portions of an large UNIX deployment.  This position is
not responsible for long term direction, architecture design, or new product
implementation.

UNIX/Linux OS platforms

1. SunOne LDAP Directory

2. Firm understanding of UNIX shell scripting

UNIX/Utilities and Commands

1. File redirection, Metacharacters and Regular Expressions

2. Shell Script Constructs

3. Debugging Scripts

Firm understanding of networking and network protocols, including;
configurations of TCP/IP networking on UNIX servers; LDAP
fundamentals;firewall concepts;Web server fundamentals and protocols
(HTTP,XML)

1. Experience in reading, interpreting and creating regular expressions

2. Basic operating-system administrative skills for UNIX

3. Security communication protocols, including SSH, SSL, Kerberos and IPSEC

*Responsibilities:*

- Troubleshooting & resolve incident level service management tickets
relating to UNIX IM, LDAP Directories and J2EE TAM/WebSEAL

-  Determine the need for permanent root access and create SUDO or permanent
root access rules as necessary.

- Provide HMC, Avocent, and Kerberos incident level access and support.

- Perform DSA responsibilities and approvals for UNIX security groups with
elevated privileges.

- Investigate and compile weekly Directory performance reports.

- Handle production checkout ID creation and management.

- Perform LDAP group activations and modifications.

- Perform checkouts and other WebSEAL/TAM application activities during
service windows.

- Troubleshoot J2EE service calls and Kerberos/SPNEGO issues.

- Monitor UNIX security reports and address security violations.

- Available to carry a pager and cell phone for 24 x 7 support.

- Available to be onsite 8 x 5 and on weekends if needed.
