Location:WI Durations: 6 months + Develop technical solutions to unusually complex problems, providing solutions that are innovative and ingenious. Under consultative direction, works toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Conduct and/or participate in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the design, development and utilization of electronic data processing systems software. Determine computer user needs. Work with hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems, such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements. Design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs and operating systems. Act as a technical resource to customers, vendors, and other engineers throughout the company to address and resolve technical issues. Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned projects. Typically functions in a project/program leadership role and requires a B.S. degree and at least 15 years of related experience.
