Title: Enterprise Payments Future State Project Manager: Location: Richmond, VA Duration: 5+ months
Description: - The Enterprise Payments Team requires an experienced Project Manager (PM) to lead a payments systems and processes future state effort. - The PM will apply a Service Architecture framework, with the assistance of process engineers. - The PM will develop a recommendation to executives for payments systems and processes changes and investments by collaborating with experts from across Client. - Successful PM candidates will ensure project results yield desired business impacts, and will consult with client and multiple stakeholders to shape project in order to successfully fill gaps between product strategy and current state systems and operations. The Project Manager will perform activities including: - Setting up and facilitating meetings, analyzing input from stakeholders and competitor analysis, and creating documents to show future state and progression from current state. - PM will develop effective PowerPoint presentations to visually describe current and future state and will present recommendations to stakeholders and senior leaders. - PMs will conform to Client standard practices (Project Portfolio Methodology PPM), influence performers and stakeholders to resolve conflicts and risks appropriately. - PM will maintain a high level project schedule, status report, define resource needs and roles and responsibilities. - PM must effectively communicate with client, team, and stakeholders. Required Skills: - Experience analyzing scenarios, developing a solution and framework for a wide audience to understand and implement. - Experience planning long term target architecture and process design. - Experience managing client expectations. - Understanding of Client IT platforms and Operations - Experience applying Project Management Institute’s methodology. - 5-10 years of relevant Project Management experience. - Viewed as having significant expertise in given field. - Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. - Guides the successful completion of major projects and may function in a project leadership role. - Develops technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. - Work is performed without appreciable direction. - Experience applying process design methods is preferred to enable planning future state - Process - Flow Design………2 years - Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA). Manager is in need of a very strong project manager with the below skill sets: - Understanding of payments processes and systems (wires, ACH, credit card, deposits, withdrawals, disbursements). - Experience developing product or operational strategy for a financial services institution. - Experience implementing projects with payments capabilities. Key skill sets: - Ability to gather client input and transform nebulous needs in to a realistic plan. - Create proposed architecture and future state with client input, so that clients with conflicting priorities agree on the plan. Key competencies: - Very Strong Verbal and writing communication skills. - Ability to tactfully and firmly facilitate large group sessions and influence executives to align toward a common plan.
