*Reply to [email protected]* Title: WebSphere Portal System Engineer Contract: 3 Month Rate:DOE Site: Mountain View,CA(Need only locals to CA) Role Description: The Senior WebSphere Portal System Engineer must have at least seven years hands on experience in Websphere portal architecture, design and administration including V6.1 with two years in a large mission critical deployment footprint. She/he will be treated as a subject matter expert for Websphere portal activities. Responsibility: - Architecture, design and deployment of Websphere portal Next Gen environment. - Lead and/or participate in performance testing for Websphere portal environments. - Measure key performance matrix and recommend corrective actions to all Websphere Portal environments. - Identification and resolution of WebSphere portal problems/outages in any of WebSphere portal related environment. - Engineer the build packaged solution using bladelogic to be deployed on all the WebSphere portal environment. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree (Computer Science and Engineering is preferred) or related work experience. - At least five years of hands on experience with Websphere Portal administration in a Linux/Unix environment. - Fluent in wsadmin, xmlaccess, Linux and/or UNIX Shell scripting ( Redhat Linux Preferred). - Demonstrated experience in load balancing and Websphere Portal Clustering along with configuring SSL for various channel across the Websphere. - Background in creating and deploying portlets, themes and skins. - Familiar with Tivoli Access Manager, Tivoli Identity manager, Tivoli directory services and WebSeal administration. - Solid understanding of Java Portlet specification JSR 286. - Strong team player and problem resolution skill set. Preferred Qualifications: - IBM Certified Websphere 6.x portal administration and/or any other technical certification. - Knowledge of SOA, SCA, J2EE design Patterns etc. - Experience with installation and configuration of DB2 9.x Database - Fortune 500 experience.
