Please reply back to [email protected] along with the resume, contact details and rate expecting. *NEED 2 PROFESSIONAL REFERENCES FROM THEIR PROJECTS* Role: ETL LEAD Location:Cooper,NYC Duration: 6 months Required Skills/Experience (Skills that the successful candidate(s) must have) The ETL lead will be a strong technologist with excellent data analysis and ETL architecture/design/development skills, as well as the ability to lead small teams and work comfortably with others. The candidate must have the ability to develop into a subject matter expert across the department for ETL. Minimum 8 to 10 years overall experience, including not less than 5 years in ETL design and development using Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS. Hands-on experience with all aspects of architecting, designing, developing, testing and implementing ETL solutions Experience with designing and implementing data staging, including staging database design and staging logic Experience with designing the ETL process, including data read/write, filtering and merging, data transformations, error handling, process design and logging Experience with code promotion across environments (dev/test/prod) Good knowledge of data modeling and designing databases Good knowledge of metadata, and using/managing metadata Good knowedge of creating test data Good knowledge of SQL Server (TSQL, data types, Enterprise Manager, error handling) Ability to develop and organize high-quality documentation Ability to take responsibility for performance tuning Good understanding of building data warehouses for business intelligence solutions Ability to understand the big picture, and the business solution that the data warehouse serves Ability to take responsibility for ongoing post-production support Experience with Erwin, and ability to use Erwin independently Excellent ability to design, develop, test and optimize SQL code Experience with data warehousing and star-schema (dimensional) data models Ability to provide architectural as well as hands-on leadership to other developers, and the sensitivity to lead senior developers skillfully Excellent communication skills - must be able to interact with a wide variety of people (business, technical) without needing hand-holding Nice to have: Experience with ETL from mainframe data (IMS/DB) Should have: Experience with SSIS (this will be the main ETL technology, and the candidate must be able to take on the responsibility to deliver the solution using SSIS) Nice to have: Experience with using Red Gate tool (must-have: the ability to quickly learn the tool and train others in it) Con Ed has standardized on Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Candidates with strong skills on other platforms (e.g. Informatica, DataStage etc) will be considered, however will be required to quickly acquire SSIS skills and lead developers (and senior developers) already experienced in SSIS.
