Please reply to [email protected] * Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, Contract 9 months , Islandia NY * *Job Overview * This position is responsible for basic verification that the design is implemented as per the stated product requirements and validation that the product functions as designed. Run and build tests that ensure the quality of his/her assigned products are within the scope of his/her training and expertise. Execute customer focused testing defining and specifying the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products. *Key Responsibilities* • Put forward accurate time estimates of work to be done on a project • Complete all scheduled tasks on time • Develop customer focused test plans • Set-up and maintain testing environments • Perform complex test cases and maintain associated test records • Develop and utilize automated test scripts to perform duties • Record issues into a defect-tracking system • Follow-up and close issues entered into the defect-tracking system Escalate issues to a higher level where issue resolution is not achieved within a reasonable amount of time • Provide information to technical documentation (i.e. Product Release Notes/Readme files) • Review product documentation (manuals/Getting Started Guides) for technical accuracy • Work with development team to understand assigned modules/new product features for the purpose of developing test cases • Participate in the design spec reviews to understand design, contribute quality requirements and ensure testability • Familiarize themselves with new technology, operating systems, automated testing tools, etc. in order to maintain an awareness of technological advances. *Basic Qualification:* 5+ years of software testing experience *Preferred Education* Master's degree or global equivalent a plus. *Skills * • Very proficient with Test Design, Test Plan and Test life cycle • Scripting language coding. Hands on experience with at least one language (C, C++, C#, and /or Java) • Automation concepts • Expert with at least one of the Automation Tools (QTP, Selenium, WatiJ, WatiN, etc) • Proficient with one DB scripting Language (MSSQL or Oracle) • Good Operating systems knowledge • Good DB administration related skills • Good ESX/VMWARE administration *Software Engineer* *, 12 month contract, Islandia NY * This position is responsible for creating and maintaining user interfaces and customer interaction components for a family of products, leveraging current technology and architecture. You will perform analysis related to software design and development and implement user interfaces for products across a broad spectrum of IT roles.
