Proactive testing and root cause analysis continuously improves our technology platforms and reflects in the bottom line of the business. The global presence often necessitates extended work hours throughout the week and occasionally on weekends. In addition to primary functions, team members also take on a role of 2nd level engineering support in an event a production issue requires escalation. Team members never hesitate to take ownership of problems and remain responsible for their systems and actions in a shared environment of commitment and excellent service. *Main Function:* Development and support of Communication Middleware Services for the Bank. This position requires ability to work with the application development teams across all Asset Classes to gather requirements from projects and perform deployment and development support and implementation duties on behalf of the applications utilizing the technology. Strong working/administration knowledge of Communication Middleware technologies is a must. The Support aspect requires handling of incidents, participation in incident management, identification of root cause and recommendation of solutions. The Engineering aspect requires recommending and implementing an architecture to meet application requirements. Participate in meetings with application teams and represent Middleware during all the phases of SDLC. Design and development of monitoring tools and conduct estate management. *Primary technologies that need to be understood and supported include: * - Communication Middleware technology - Solace Systems - TIBCO RV - 29West LBM *Secondary Technologies:* - Protocol and internal working of Multicast and TCP based communications - Networks - Unix / Linux *Programming Skills:* - Familiarity with application development with product APIs using C/C++, JAVA, C# and JMS - 50% Engineering and 50% RTB Support (approx) - Flexible – willing to provide coverage during weekends and or early/late shifts. - Experience in a support role is preferred - Knowledge of DR procedures is also critical. *Main Duties:* To work within the *Middleware* Team delivering expertise to internal customers. The role covers all aspects of the service delivery including: · Requirements Analysis · Middleware consultancy to internal customers · Documentation · Software Engineering (C, C++, Java, .NET) *Problem Management:* · Change Implementation/Planning across dev/test, production, BRP · Capacity Planning · Unit and Systems testing · Vendor Management · Service provisioning · Systems Management · Configuration Management · DR invocation/testing *Basic Qualifications:* - Degree Educated with a Computer Science Background - 2+ years experience -Cross platform skills and some development experience *Preferred Qualifications:* - Strong Communication Middleware experience (TIB RV, TIB EMS, Solace etc.) - Excellent customer focus and client facing skills - Skills and knowledge with the specific technology set (described above) - Proven ability to interface with the development community. - Good technical understanding of distributed heterogeneous systems technology * * *NOTE:* We have multiple opportunities with the same skill set, would appreciate if you could refer any of your friends/associates/colleagues.
