Here are the requirement details: Position : Oracle Developer with Portfolio Management experience Duration : 6+ months rolling contract Location : Oaks, PA They MUST have the following; • Senior Oracle Developer • Excellent Oracle SQL skills • Strong Understanding of Portfolio Management Ø How moves within a portfolio Ø How and why money is invested within a portfolio Would like them to have, but not a show stopper Bulk data pattern processing (how to handle large amounts of data via SQL programming) • Understanding how to design and implement database workflow processing Description: · I am looking for a person who has experience in working in native SQL, and applying the native SQL to managing large data sets – 1-2+MM rows. · Also, I am looking for a person who understands DBA responsibilities in how to partition data (this is necessary when working in large data sets). · In other words, I am looking for a person who knows Oracle database material. · If you need to update Instihire, then update Instihire. · Important is to have Portfolio Management experience. · This system is developed to large degree in native SQL. · Improvements of this SQL to achieve better system response time need to be made with the understanding of the data, which in this case is Portfolio data, and Portfolio Management actions that can be applied to this data. BY contrast, Portfolio Accounting is a different area. · So is Product or Security Master, or Portfolio Reporting. Notes From earlier interviews. · SQL jobs that run under Oracle database server control, as opposed to Application control. · SQL in stored procedures that is written to operate on large data sets of 1MM rows. · Use of Oracle functions for math and data type conversions when applied to large data arrays. Techniques in working with large data arrays. · Techniques in segmenting large data sets into smaller data sets to achieve system response threshold, e.g. "Retrieve N-size of data in X-milisseconds". Required is the experience in knowing how to approach this problem, and techniques applicable to solving this problem.
