Please reply to [email protected] Title: Jr. Linux Admin Location: Pittsburgh, PA Duration: 6 Months Responsibilities: • Administer Redhat Enterprise 3.x, 4.x, 5.x servers running in a 24x7 environment • Monitor, identify and resolve production capacity, contention and resource deficiencies • Configure and install new hardware- Dell blade configurations, HP servers, DRAC, iLO • Kickstart design for advanced server and workstation builds • PXE, NFS, NIS, shell scripting, proactive monitoring, patch management, and end-user support • Volume management with LVM utilizing both local and SAN storage • System and performance tuning • Support corporate network based services, DNS, NIS, NFS, SSH, autofs • Support Oracle DBA’s system requirements: RAC, raw devices, network bonding • Design, troubleshoot, support Redhat cluster technologies • Research, test and implement new hardware and software • Participate in 24x7 on-call production support/rotation Requirements: • 3+ years of hands-on Linux experience supporting sophisticated mission critical environments • Clustering technologies such as Redhat cluster or equivalent • Linux certification or equivalent experience • Knowledge of VMWare ES3.x/ES4.x ESX environments • Solid understanding of SANS, Fibre Switches and Fabric, RAID and server backup/recovery • Ability to work very well under pressure, problem solve efficiently and keep abreast of current technology • Ability to writs scripts (sh/bash) • Understanding of TCP/IP and UDP protocols, internetworking • Experience in a development environment a plus • Define and follow standards and best practices for Linux design, testing and implementation *Thank You,* * * *Anand** | Infotech Valley Inc.* 'Infinite Talents' Tel: 610.365.7318 | Email: [email protected] Fax: 610.419.9035 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle Users" group.
