Oracle Developer with Install Base and OAF
IT Resource for IB Clean Up Project
*Indianapolis** Indiana***
*6 month contract*
There are some issues with Install Base records in Oracle that this
project will focus on cleaning up. These issues are due to multiple reasons
including a previous data migration, but largely due to some configuration
issues (associated with current business processes) that allow actions from
the business to change things in the IB (serial number inaccuracies). There
is a strong analyst assigned to this effort, and other Oracle Developers who
can help this resource ramp up, but a solid mid-level developer or higher is
needed as they will be the only developer assigned to the project. The work
will not be focused on brand-new from scratch development , but instead
focused on creating the code changes and configuration changes needed to
prevent future problems in the IB.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Use Case Analysis Review from an IT standpoint.
2. Review system configuration and recommend setup changes based
on use case findings.
3. Facilitate testing and migration of configuration changes
through development and test instances to production.
4. Create functional specifications for enhancement requests
(Forms/Reports/Etc).
5. Facilitate testing and migration of enhancements through
development and test instances to production.
6. Participate in Data Cleanup efforts.
7. Assist DBA and Technical Resources with Database performance
issues and optimization
REQUIREMENTS:
1. 5+ Years of Oracle Development with PL/SQL and OAF.
2. 5+ Years working with data conversion and supporting
interfaces.
a. Experience with Oracle Install Base Interfaces and APIs
preferred.
3. 3+ years working with Oracle Install Base with a solid
understanding of the following
a. Source Transaction Type
b. Sub Transaction Types
c. Install Base Configurations
d. Install Base Open Interface
4. 3+ years experience working with Standard BOMs, Model BOMs,
and Option Classes.
a. Nice to have Specifically PTO Packages and PTO Models
b. Nice to have Oracle Configurator Expereicne
5. 5+ years SQL and associated tools (TOAD, PL/SQL Developer,
etc)
* Experience working with Service Records is desired.
