Position Description: Experience Level: 4 year degree and 10+ years
experience
Database Developer with ETL (SSIS) skills (Telecommute)
The person filling this position will be a member of a small team developing
a highly-integrated SQL Server based data storage application. Candidate
will work largely independently, on assigned database development and ETL
development tasks. The individual will be responsible for ETL packages,
standards, scrubbing, and exception processing and working with other groups
within organization to facilitate pulling data.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
10+ years industry experience in database development, T-SQL
and stored procedure writing, with a minimum of 5 years on SQL Server
5+ Years developing SSIS packages and deploying ETL jobs
running in production environment(s)
Experience with version management software (TFS Team
Foundation Server)
Experience in working within large organizations with
multi-level database environments (DEV, QA, PROD), in secure environments
where permissions are granted discriminately
Experience with Agile Scrum team work: sprints,
retrospectives and daily stand-ups
Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work
with DBAs
Experience moving data from Lotus Notes to a non-Notes
environment
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with LEI (Lotus Enterprise Integrator for Domino) tool for
creating jobs and performing data extraction
The ideal candidate will be productive working with varied data sources,
writing ETL (load) and ETL (update) packages while working independently on
most tasks, they will report and/or demonstrate progress at regular
intervals. They will have the ability to meet or exceed story expectations
and sprint goals, and report any blocking issues in a professional and
timely manner. They will have the ability to persevere when encountering
issues, and will help facilitate communication within the organization to
help keep project objectives moving forward.
Notes:
This position is entirely remote. The candidate may reside anywhere in the
US.
