Load balancing will encompass about 50% of the job. KEY SKILLS: - 3+ years automated testing experience (unit, functional, system, load, performance testing, etc.) - Load Runner, QTP - Must be able to design, engineer and execute automated software tests including, but not limited to, functional and load testing across a wide range of technologies and products such as windows based .Net applications and SAP platforms (SAP not required but highly preferred) - Agile software development environment - Knowledgeable on testing windows based applications, client server based applications and TCP/IP based protocol interfaces - C++ and other scripting languages development scripting knowledge - PREFERRED Act as an expert and consultant in automated testing tools (i.e. HP Quality Center, Load runner, QTP and BPT) for activities including defect tracking, automation of test scripts, and performance / stress / load testing for the SAP platform and other applications. Consults customers in defining proper automated and manual testing approaches, monitors scheduled initiatives, mentors other testing personnel in the testing tools suite. Ensures products are properly tested according to corporate best practices and in support of our development and business community. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Evaluate and perform automated testing of new or modified applications to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines. • Demonstrate a solid understanding of multi-tiered applications on different platforms and how those resources interact and affect performance, to optimize and ensure operational efficiency. Identifies defects, system bottlenecks and other performance engineering issues. • Gather information needed for pre-testing activities, i.e. plan kick-off meetings and gather testing requirements. Work with other technical resources to capture and define requirements, prepare testing environment, create data sets for use by automated scripts, perform testing, collate and interpret test results, monitor data findings, etc. Collaborate with development and system engineers on stress test parameters and findings. Facilitate meetings to review analysis and present management reports from test results, monitors, logs, etc. • Design, develop and debug test scripts to challenge the accuracy, performance and capacity of given applications and infrastructures. Configure scripts into scenarios, configure runtime environment for load generators and execute tests. Create and maintain scenarios, both, that are similar to real world usage of the system, and that are more project-specific for trouble shooting and application optimization. • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by automating scenarios to allow the scripting to be used for regression and/or daily verification of the test environment. • Mentor and coach others on testing tool usage, testing methodology, application domain; works independently while also guiding the Testing Services Team as the “go-to” person for automated testing.
