*Core Java Designer / Architect* *Job description* Participates in the developing the architecture and design of a new application. Responsible for working high architectural impact projects, assessing the impact on projects for compliance to the Enterprise Architecture for projects and directing implementation of the architecture for multiple applications. Assists with conducting complex technology and system assessments for component architecture and participates in enterprise architecture activity. Provides in-depth technical and systems consultation to technical group to ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture Act as the highest-level technical expert for developing a highly complex large-scale internet application. Evaluates systems specifications for client area web site requirements and determines and implements the most efficient and cost-effective software solution. Provides leadership in researching advanced web technologies to develop service-oriented applications and analyze business requirements for web-based systems. Directs the gathering of performance statistics to assist in determining hardware and communication tools needed to support projected transaction volumes, response time and system availability targets. *Preferred skills:* ** • Around 8 years experience in full life cycle development involving analysis, design, preparation of technical documentation (FSD/TDD), development and implementation, production support, application deployment and environment support. • Maintenance of a high-risk financial multi-tier Internet web-based application in highly available environment. • Expert level skills with enterprise web-based development of application systems using core Java and J2EE technologies; Servlets, POJO, JSF, CSS3, HTML5, AJAX, EJB, Struts, Spring MVC framework (IOC, AOP, DAO); Hibernate / JDBC drivers: Protocol - HTTP/HTTPS; Platform UNIX, LINUX, Solaris; • Expert in writing framework, reusable components and J2EE/ Core Java design patterns to reduce development time. • Experience with ANT Script, Database Script and Shell Script – Korn, Perl; Data Modeling – ERWIN; Source Control management - SVN • Web services - SOAP, RESTful, XML, WSDL, Experience in using XML related technologies such as JAXB, DOM (Document Object Model) and SAX • Having very good understanding of middle-ware and application server concepts like Transactions, Security, Connection pooling, Load balancing and Messaging; Websphere 6.x or higher, clustered server environment and familiar with system performance related tasks. • Extensive experience in MQ Series (Queue, Queue Connection Factory, Listener Port configuration, Message Driven Bean and Stateless Session Bean development). • Hands on experience with Oracle development, Complex SQLs, PL/SQL Functions and Procedures, Packages and creation of Oracle Objects – Tables, Materialized views, Triggers, Synonyms, Database links, User Defined Data Types, Nested Tables and Collections. • Demonstrated ability to construct software testing plans, and experience with different software life cycle environments (development, test, integration, production, disaster recovery). • Software Development Methodology (RUP, Agile) • Good analytical and debugging skills; systematic approach to programming tasks; good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to multi-task and collaborate on team efforts. • Leads projects, including assignment of tasks, and provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees updating and testing of the business continuation plan. • Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Participates in overall systems testing.
