Immediate need for a Captaris workflow 6.5 Consultant.
This person needs to have expert knowledge of Captaris workflow 6.5 fp2 to
be able to provide the following services: Confirm diagnosis and
recommendation from OpenText to rebuild the custom workflows for the ITRF
(Information Technology Request Form) in the Workflow Server 6.5 and
eliminate the custom development.
Consultant will need to look at the other workflows also to confirm the
cause of the problem with those and fix them. These other workflows are for
the following business areas: Policy Processing, Provider Affairs,
Subrogation, Self Insured and Special Investigations OpenText technical
support has informed us that the main issue was that our previous version
of Captaris Workflow (5.2) did not have a way to handle dead lock issues in
the Template so the custom web pages were doing WorkflowAdvance to help
control the behavior of advancing processes.
With Workflow 6.5 and above we now have task and process locks to ensure
that only one user or part of the system can access a process at a time.
The code that was in place to handle that before may now be causing issue
with performance as it is waiting on other process locks to be released.
To correct the issue OpenText suggested that the web forms call for task
complete method instead of WorkflowAdvance. Consultant will need to review
this and make suggestions/corrections.
We would like to look at moving the web forms directly into the Workflow
IDE to ensure we have good control over the process.
Additional Knowledge/Experience Advantageous to this placement:
We prefer someone that is intimate with the OpenText product. Regardless,
the person should be very familiar with the product and must review the
problem that OpenText technical support has given us and confirm that their
recommendation will solve the problem.
