*Responsibilities include:*

*1. Develop sophisticated testing tools with*Access, Excel and Visual Basic* as well as test plans to test and verify the accuracy of illustrated values for new business and Inforce Illustrations as well as administration systems. Test tools are primarily derived from detailed specifications provided by the Product Development teams, external producers, contract language, the NAIC Life Insurance Illustrations Model Regulation, the NAIC Annuity Disclosure Model Regulation, and/or from archived product information.

2. Perform detailed technical product calculations, provide technical product expertise, and support manually generated Inforce Illustrations for entire company.

3. Provide the illustration system vendor with the technical support required to develop the illustration software. This may include the packaging and transfer of rates and values in a format acceptable by the vendor.

4. Through the use of Visual Basic programming language, develop automation tools for the purposes of extracting or loading product rates into administration systems, extracting policy data from administration systems, decreasing illustration software release lead times, and automating manual processes.

5. Develop and implement test plans for new products and changes/enhancements to existing products and perform testing to minimize production errors. Participates in the design of the user interface and illustration output. Responsible for testing of projected values, which may include coordination with other testing resources. Analyzes, debugs, and re-tests all components of the illustration software- reporting and documenting all outcomes and test conditions.

6. Leverage advanced technical product knowledge to lead and participate as part of a project team. May provide guidance and leadership to less experienced team members in designing, testing, debugging, documenting, and implementing changes to new or existing illustration system applications and administration systems.

7. Participate in the development of tool automation for the Product Management Group as well as Insurance Operations for the purposes of extracting or loading product rates into administration systems, decreasing illustration software release lead times, and automating manual procedures. Development of said tools requires Microsoft Excel and Access knowledge as well as Visual Basic experience.

8. Assists in the development and maintenance of documentation on new and existing testing tools, software testing, and other departmental procedures. Also, provides administration system, illustration software, and product training as required, to include training at seminars or agent conventions and conferences.*****
