* * *Systems & Network Administrator - Storage* *Job Function:* Information Technology *Location:* Omaha, NE, USA *Job Summary:* Designs, implements, and supports technical storage and backup solutions that ensure appropriate availability, performance, and recovery operations for enterprise class computing environments. *Position Responsibilities:* - Analyze, deliver, and maintain complex infrastructure solutions (including multiple-user platform, network, and storage solutions) according to business and technical requirements using techniques that adhere to IT guiding principles and established architectural standards. - Proactively tune systems ensuring acceptable performance levels. Design and lead performance tests ensuring supported technology and systems perform within predetermined performance thresholds. - Design and implement availability and recovery solutions, collaborating closely with customers that mitigate outages as defined within recovery point and time objectives. - Design and implement security controls and standards for supported technology platforms. Collaborate with suppliers to design and implement appropriate solutions to mitigate technical system vulnerability. - Implement best practice integrated system solutions and process changes for complex business opportunities. - Support of application requirements gathering process focusing on infrastructure requirements. Support identification of incident trends and build proactive plans to eliminate. - Assist others with conducting effective investigation / diagnosis of incidents and root cause analysis of problems. *Position Qualifications:* - Four-year college degree required. Focus on computer science, information systems or a related field desired. - 5+ years Storage Administration / Linux / VMware / proficient level storage knowledge - 3+ years' experience with virtualization technologies - Scripting in Ksh, Bash, Perl, Powershell - Proficient knowledge of the following technologies: HDS, NetApp clustered environment, Cisco SAN switches and switching fabric, EMC DMX, IBM 3584 and 3592. NetApp Operations Manager, Data ONTAP, Storage Navigator, Hi-Command, SymCLI, Solutions Enabler, SMC, SYM Optimizer, Device Manager, and Fabric Manager. - Thorough understanding of the concepts of zoning, presentation, disk grouping, disk leveling, LUN presentation, SAN performance analysis and tuning, and storage connectivity troubleshooting. - Ability to describe, in depth, the following protocols/technologies: NFS, CIFS, FC, iSCSI - Solid understanding of enterprise class backup and restore environments. Including database and file level backups. - Proven and demonstrable skill creating architecture and support documentation for enterprise-level storage environments.
