The ABAP Developer is primarily responsible for the custom development across the SAP suite of applications and has solid understanding of the SAP ECC integration points. The role will require the developer to understand the business needs, translate the functional requirements into a technical design specification, code the solution and unit test and document the results. The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work closely with business analysts, system engineers, and architects. As a key member of a small team, the developer will have the opportunity to learn many aspects of the business as well as the SAP system. Prerequisites: Minimum five (5) years hands on ABAP Programming with specific experience in any of the following areas: Materials Management (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), Finance (FI) Minimum two (2) years experience with management and application of OSS Notes Knowledge of ETL concepts, and advanced dataset tools Basic Requirements Minimum of five (5+) years directly related and progressively responsible experience designing, building, testing and deploying enterprise SAP solutions; Minimum of five (5) years of SAP application development (certification preferred) with in-depth experience in ABAP Workbench, ABAP Objects, BAPI, BADIs, RFC, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, IDOCs, BDC, ALV Programming Design, develop, and code difficult and complex programs for SAP modules Develop test data and analyze problems in programs Recognize the critical elements of application problems, develop and evaluate data, determine solutions, and make logical recommendations Express difficult and complex concepts clearly and concisely both orally and in writing Write clear, logical reports, and instructions Write clear and logical program documentation Work effectively and independently on assigned projects Work effectively and cooperatively with administrators, staff, users, project consultants and vendors Meet established priorities and schedules Preferred Qualifications: Possess a bachelors degree in engineering or business fieldBachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Management Information Systems is preferred SAP functional and configuration knowledge a plus. Experience with SAP Workflow Knowledge of SAP user exits, BAPIs, and BADIs. Strong interface experience with IDOCs and RFCs. Experience with SAP Background job process and event triggers.
