Notes: *Health insurance and J2EE experience is a must*. They would really like someone with ESB and/or OSB experience, but that is tough. The Development Manager is responsible for overseeing any Client deliverables, activities, or tasks for an assigned project. The DM Provides clear direction, leadership and management for successful project and service delivery ensuring a high-level of client satisfaction are achieved. *RESPONSIBILITIES * • Manage contract deliverable signatures, Facilitates the review/signoff process with vendors • Identifies project resource requirements • Prepare the detail project plans, define with the team the effort and duration, and assign resources to the task. • Coordinates project resources as identified in the plan • Plans, organizes, leads, and monitors the activities of the Project Team • Gather Issues, assign to the team member for resolution • Manages risks and works with the Client to determine mitigation measures • Prepares Change Requests, seeks approvals, and tracks decisions • Provides weekly and monthly project status reports and scorecard to the application manager. • Organize and perform weekly meeting with the client and vendor presenting status report / scorecard • Work with other Development Manager to co-ordinate deliverables • Work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications. • Take ownership and accountability for the deliverables in all phases of the development lifecycle. • Proactively participate in platform design and review activities *REQUIREMENTS * • Experience at problem solving in portal development environments. • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science/Math/Engineering • Knowledge on Health care Insurance applications. • Knowledge and experience with project management methodologies. • Experience with Information technology • Experienced in managing Software development and business modeling of Web applications, • Client/Server systems, Distributed Applications and other custom-built projects on UNIX and Windows. • Working experience with Multiple location and Virtual working team • Have excellent communication skills, work ethics and the ability to work well in a team or individual environment. • Excellent documentation skills. • Excellent with excel and can cumulate hours and project cost • Good at proactively identifying and addressing problems. • Needs to have a good leadership over project staff • Goal & Results oriented • Initiative • Good problem solving skills.
