*JOB DESCRIPTION: *
The Senior User UI Designer/Developer will be responsible for designing
and developing the graphical user interface (GUI) of web applications.
This role includes the development of intuitive, easy-to use GUI
designs, development of UI screens, and integration with Java Enterprise
Edition (JEE) components.
The position also includes development of mockups and UI prototypes and
Section 508-compliant GUIs.
*REQUIRED SKILLS: *
• Graphic design and web UI design experience and a good sense of
aesthetics
• Experience translating business requirements into intuitive,
easy-to-use user web UI designs
• Experience in a rapid prototyping environment
• Experience developing Section 508 compliant user interfaces
• Experience using 508 tools, such as JAWS and Bobby
• Experience using HTML and JavaScript to develop web applications
• Experience using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to develop web applications
• Experience developing and maintaining graphic content using Photoshop
or similar applications
• Experience using front-end development tools and technologies, such as
Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Experience interacting closely with end users and other development
team members
• Excellent communication skills and must be able to collaborate in a
team environment
• Experience designing and developing web applications that are
browser-independent

*DESIRED SKILLS*:
• Experienced optimizing web application front ends for performance
• Experience using JavaScript libraries, such as Yahoo User Interface or
JQuery
The candidate must also be able to pass the client's credit and
background check.
All qualified candidates MUST be able to obtain a clearance prior to
starting.
The clearance is for SEC and is comparable to a Public Trust level.
