Client is seeking a Senior Web Developer with expertise in web application development using Java technologies and Oracle Web Center. As a dedicated member of the IT team the Senior Web Developer will be primarily responsible for detailed technical design, coding and unit testing activities of web application, portal and content management. The SWD will also participate in requirements analysis, logical design, implementation and support web application deployment activities. *Responsibilities* Work with business customers and other team members to translate functional requirements into technical designs Configuring WebCenter software to meet business requirements Working closely with the customer to design and configure the user interface Design, configure and implement workflows Assist with design and implementation of document security model Installation and configuration of web application servers and components (i.e. Tomcat, WebLogic, or Oracle Application Server) Design and Implement Web Center/ADF applications Design and implement metadata model for content contribution, storage and retrieval Migrating existing third party portal applications to Web Center Portal applications Collaboratively work with the Enterprise Architects to ensure that architecture principles are being met. Initiate and conduct unit testing of and support system and performance testing as required. Contribute to the resolution of defects, provide support to testing teams Mentor less experienced team members *Skills* 5+ years of hands-on experience in building web based applications (Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, XML, SOAP, WSDL) 2+ years of experience in Oracle Web Center, Oracle ADF and Oracle UCM (preferred) 2+ year of Portal development experience (Weblogic, Plumtree etc.) Full systems life cycle experience: gathering requirements, system and application design, hands-on development, testing, and implementation Experience on a development team in the deployment of both large and small applications Understanding of integration architecture; service oriented architecture (SOA) and messaging. Understanding of Identity Management Solutions and Web Service Security 5+ years of experience with application containers like Weblogic, JBoss, WebSphere, Tomcat etc Experience in Health care domain is preferred.
