*Position Summary:*

The Data Warehouse Developer is responsible for full development lifecycle
of Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) Integration and Data Warehousing
solutions. Responsibilities include designing, developing and testing to
implement programs, scripts and processes to extract, clean and load data
from source systems into the data warehouse.  Partners with delivery
management, QA/Test and Build Teams to support the business by delivering
high quality Enterprise Data Warehouse solutions. The Developer assists
with incident management situations through technical troubleshooting,
developing fixes for incidents and performing root cause analysis as well
as tests to validate effectiveness of production applications.

*Essential Job Duties:*

1.       Designs and develops enterprise data warehouse components,
including database models and ETL using Informatica, function, etc.

2.      Develops data warehouse process models, including sourcing,
extraction, transformation and loading.

3.      Creates and executes plans, test files and scripts for data
warehouse testing.

4.      Maintains and enhances data warehouses and data marts, including:

a.      Selecting methods, techniques or criteria for data warehousing
solutions;

b.      Verifying structure, accuracy and quality of warehouse data;

c.       Mapping data between source systems, data warehouse and data
marts;

d.      Performing system and data analysis and performance tuning.

5.      Creates and maintains batch jobs.

6.      Develop estimates and technical ETL specifications.

7.      Participates in change control, problem management and
communication of resolution to completion among associated team members,
including identifying discrepancies between systems.

8.      Participates in IT process development to ensure a consistent,
well-managed and integrated data warehouse infrastructure.

9.      Creates technical design documents and specifications on change
requests and assignments within a project that conform to SDLC standards.

10.   Determines data needs and validates results with business
representatives.

11.    Conducts data analysis using dimensional models and 3rd National
Form (3NF) data models.

12.   Provides data analysis and identifies data issues within the Data
Warehouse environment as well as upstream systems, as needed.

13.   Participates in on call support rotation.

*Qualifications*

*Required:*

1.       Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering or related
discipline with technology focus.

2.      5+  years of experience in the information technology field
including at least:

   1. 3+ years of experience with ETL development.
      2. 3+ years of experience with RDBMS.
      3. 3+ years of experience with data warehouse technologies.
      4. 1+ year Informatica development.
   1. Experience working with:


   1. batch systems
      2. SQL and performance tuning
      3. a structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
      4. customers and peers to develop solutions to complex business
      problems
   1. Proficient understanding of relational and dimensional modeling
   2. Demonstrated ability to work in a team setting within a corporate
   environment
   3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

*Preferred:*

1.       Experience in:

a.      Health Insurance, Insurance or Health Care industries.

b.      Multiple system development methodologies

c.       Inmon and Kimball data warehousing architectures.
