· Design, write, test and document Base SAS programs, subroutines, and scripts to meet project objectives · Define requirements, analyze, design, enhance, and develop reporting methods to efficiently and effectively fulfill corporate initiatives and planning/development objectives · Extracting data from large databases, including DB2, Teradata and Oracle, through SAS. · Maintain current production programs to meet the expanding needs of an application area · Work independently or assist a system analyst in investigating and resolving system failures in order to reduce the system downtime · Evaluate new or alternative data processing techniques to determine their usefulness in meeting project needs and deadlines · Assist other programmers in program design, testing and debugging to improve departmental production · Assist in preparing and maintaining System and Application documentation · Perform the role of mentor by offering advice, suggestions or other means of support to new programmer personnel. · Assist in determining data requirements and MetaData definitions in the data warehouse environment · Effectively administer reporting solutions in a rapid application development environment ensuring short term proof of concepts meet long term objectives · Expert on one or more development environments or SAS/SQL languages. · Liaison with multiple business stakeholders and information systems partners involving complex problem solving is a significant element of work · Documents and coordinates complex, cross functional analytic and database test plans · Accountable for effectiveness, quality, and timeliness of project analysis and programming decisions and ease of implementation · Participate in vendor evaluation and selection processes · Assist with the architectural design of in-house developed reporting databases Experience · SAS Development - 5 years · Enterprise Guide - 2-5 years · Enterprise Minor - 2-5 years Ram, [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle Users" group.
