Local candidates strongly preferred. * The ETL Developer will provide development, QA, and technical support in migrating existing ETL jobs to a new ODS while upgrading the ETL integration tool to SSIS 2012. The ETL Developer will work closely with developers, a data architect, business analyst, and business users to provide development, QA, and production support in the migration development, testing, and initial post production support. Principal responsibilities include: • Create and manage ETL packages, triggers, stored procedures, views, SQL transactions • Develop new secure data feeds with external parties as well as internal applications including the data warehouse and business intelligence applications. • Perform analysis and QA • Diagnosis ETL and database related issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions to management. • Work with a small project team to support the design, development, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of new ETL programs. • Technical job knowledge: Core competency required in SSIS 2008R2 or 2012 ETL development. • Communications: Preparing written and oral reports and documenting related key information services. • Customer service: Building and maintaining working relationships with key personnel in other departments. • Constant and close visual work at desk or computer. • Constant sitting and working at desk. • Frequent verbal and written communication with staff and other business associates by telephone, correspondence, or in person. • Frequent lifting of folders, files, binders and other objects weighing between 0 and 30 lbs. • Frequent walking and standing. • Occasional driving of automobiles. EDUCATION OR TRAINING EQUIVALENT TO: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. • Minimum five years demonstrated professional experience in IT development and support roles. • Professional experience in a health care setting is highly desirable and a definite plus. MINIMUM YEARS OF ADDITIONAL RELATED EXPERIENCE: • Minimum three years’ experience in ETL programming utilizing SSIS packages preferably SSIS 2012, stored procedures, and SQL scripts desired.
