*Title: Sr. Database Analyst*
*Location: Irvine, CA Duration: 6 months plus* Lender Processing Services (LPS) is seeking a Database Developer for its Applied Analytics division in Irvine, CA to help engineer and augment the company's data delivery platform. Responsible for designing, modeling, developing and supporting Database Management Systems (DBMS). Analyzes data requirements, application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schema(s), and then designs, develops, amends, optimizes, and certifies database schema design to meet system(s) requirements. Gathers, analyzes, and normalizes relevant information related to and from business processes, functions, and operations to evaluate data credibility and determine relevance and meaning. This position also performs duties associated with data stewardship, data security, data integration, and data standards. Minimum Experience Requirements: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: Proactively plans and implements database strategies. Leads creation and enforcement of database development standards. Collaborates with development teams and end-users throughout the development life-cycle in the creation or enhancement of database applications and interfaces. Develops code for new functionality, enhancements, and maintenance. Provides support for production systems. Assists the development staff with the debugging and optimization of SQL queries and stored procedures and performs code reviews for database-related objects. Performs DBA tasks within the development environments. Assists operations staff with database-related source control and release management processes. Designs and develops data models for internal operational databases, data warehouses and analysis cubes. Develops optimal data integration strategies with internal applications and external file feeds. Develops, tunes and maintains ETL processes. Assists database administrator to monitor & optimize performance, produce metrics, and plan for disaster recovery. Assists database administrator in researching and evaluating database-related software and hardware components and upgrades. Other duties may be assigned. Desired Skills and Experience Minimum of 5-7 years SQL Server Database development. Minimum of 5 years Structured Query Language. Minimum of 3 years Data Warehouse development. Minimum of 2 years SQL Server Integration Services development. Minimum of 2 years SQL Server Reporting Services development. Preferred, 2 years .NET development using C#. Preferred, 1 year Business Objects experience. Preferred, 1 year SharePoint experience. Preferred, 2 years Database Administration experience. Preferred, 2 years SQL Server Analysis Services development. Experience mentoring, teaching, training in various technical disciplines. Demonstrated ability to hit milestones and achieve deadlines. Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to be concise and precise in work products. Demonstrated ability to be productive and bring assignments to closure. Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for improvement. Desire to produce a work product of very high caliber. Desire to take the initiative to overcome obstacles.
