*Urgent Need: Infrastructure (Physical/Virtual)/Network Engineer* *Location: Montpelier VT* *Duration: 6+ Months* Description: Service category to provide technicians who are experts in all aspects of infrastructure design, setup, installation, diagnosis, repair and maintenance. Specialists have years of real-world experience working with a wide variety of physical/virtual infrastructure configurations. Individuals have experience working on enterprise class storage, blade and server technologies; inter connectivity, performance, failover, deployment and/or administering VMware product suite. Services range from advance system administrative functions in a VMware environment to various complex blade and storage (SAN/ISCSI/etc). Certifications and experience could also include VCP (*VMware Certified Professional*). *Requirements / Capabilities*: Installation, procurement and maintenance of storage sub systems and processing capacity (blade and standard servers) Technical support of associated infrastructure necessary for the quality, security, performance, availability, recoverability, and reliability of the system Ensure scheduled preventive maintenance for equipment is properly and promptly performed Maintain the maintenance records on the equipment Develop operations, administrative, and quality assurance back-up plans and procedural documentation. . *Wireless Installation and Maintenance* Services Capabilities Perform site survey with RF spectrum analysis for currently supported industry wireless standards (i.e. 802.11 A/B/G/N) Installation of Equipment Vendor will use their own equipment to provide services to include: RF analysis tools, accessibility equipment (ladders, etc), all relevant tools for hardware mounting. List of equipment manufacturers that vendor has certifications or qualifications to install / manage or maintain. Documentation The vendor must be able to provide quotes based on initial site surveys to include, itemized hardware and labor costs. Invoicing: must bill from quote, must included itemized hardware serial numbers of all hardware and a breakdown of hourly work by task. Provide detailed documentation using available CAD/PDF drawings to deliver pre and/or post installation validation and represent wireless footprint. (Electronic format included in as-built document). Determine and document wired data and electric connectivity needs and locations for installation. (Electronic format included in as-built document). Hardware installations must conform to best practice networking and security standards to include wire management, labeling and documentation All hardware manufacturer equipment documentation must be included in the final system documentation (electronic format included in as-built document). Complete project inventory of all hardware installed to include serial numbers, models and software versions (electronic format included in as-built document). Provide electronic copies of each “as built” system to DII: Network Engineering which will indicate completion of job. Full disclosure of any subcontracting work being performed.
