Role: BI Technical Architect
Work Location: Richfield, MN
Duration: 3 months - [Possible for Long-term]
Assignment start date: 12-Feb-2014
Total experience in required skill (years): 7 years
Pay Rate per hour (payable to vendor): $DOE / hr
 
Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills:
7+ years of experience in BI Solutions and delivery experience.
5+ years of experience in SSIS/DWloader/Informatica/ETL and exposure to Supply Chain.
5+ years of experience in Teradata/Netezza/MS SQL Server PDW database.
Experience in SSAS/SSRS/MS BI capabilities required.
Extensive experience in Effort Estimations and ETL design aspects.
Extensive experience Technology Solution and working experience with customer architecture review board.
Extensive work experience in Informatica/ETL/Integration in design/development ETL routines.
Technical team management experience including offshore team members.
Excellent personal communication, leadership, and organizational skills
 
Roles and responsibility:
Source systems integration plan and project setup
Project Infrastructure setup and database sizing.
Document own work, create technical documents for requirements/design and internal communication
Offshore work coordination and tracking
Work with customer architecture review board on design solution approach and sign-off
Create supply/demand forecasts and create work pipeline
Work with technical team in reviewing the code
Stay current with emerging industry trends
Ability to take initiative and ownership on tasks
Good written and oral communication
Explain complex design items through documents and white-board sessions
SQL knowledge and performance tuning experience needed
 
Desirable Technical / Functional Skills:
Retail Domain data warehousing experience a plus
Supply chain process knowledge
Work with different teams – Business, Solutions – BI
