American Cyber system's direct client is looking for Sr. Business
Intelligence Architect at Minneapolis, MN for a Contractual Position.
SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Sr. Business Intelligence (BI) Data Architect is responsible for
designing, developing, testing and delivering data integration solutions
that support business performance metrics, data quality, speed of service
and operational effectiveness. This role requires proficiency with BI
integration tools, knowledge of data analysis methodology and agility in
delivering the highest level of quality data to decision makers. This
individual will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills,
and knowledge of best practices to work in a team environment on issues
related to the design, development, and deployment of critical business
intelligence solutions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
. Partner effectively with the departmental leads to define and build
effective reporting capabilities for each.
. Provide expert guidance on Business Intelligence (BI) skills and
technologies.
. Define BI standards, guidelines and best practices for business
groups and technical teams.
. Develop scalable and maintainable BI applications to meet business
objectives.
. Develop security and authentication standards for the organization.
. Maintain accurate and complete technical architectural documents.
. Support BI tools upgrades in development, testing and documentation.
. Perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities for BI tools.
. Recommend strategies to improve performance and capacity of BI
tools.
. Address customer queries and issues in a timely manner.
. Collaborate with BI Administrators, Developers and Analysts for
successful development of BI reporting and analysis solutions.
. Work effectively with virtual teams both off-shore and on.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:
. 10+ years' experience in Software Development with at least 5
years' experience in Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence Design.
o Strong understanding and experience with dimensional, relational
modeling for data warehouse/data marts, Star Schema (4 -5 years)
o Experience working with building and maintaining Hierarchies, Row
Level Security
. Strong experience working with SAP Business Objects Application
Suite
o Strong understanding and development experience with Universe /
Abstraction layer modeling (5+ years)
o Strong experience working with CMC, Security set up, Transport
mechanism (LCM)
o Experience working with WSDLs, Web Service connections, Merged
queries, Information Design Tools in BI 4
o Experience with data federation from disparate DB sources including
SAB BW, Netezza, SQL Server, etc
o Strong development experience in building Dashboards, Web
Intelligence and Crystal Reports (2 - 4 years)
o Knowledge of Business Objects security and Administration in XI 3.1
and 4.0 (2 -4 years)
. Experience working with SAP Business Warehouse
o Strong understanding of the SAP BW architecture (Info Providers,
Multi Providers, DSOs etc.)
o Strong knowledge of SAP BW BEx query development.
o Capable of configuring database objects within the BW Admin
Workbench
. Other
o Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills (verbal and written)
o Able to listen to and communicate effectively with business
leaders, end users and technical teams.
o A strong customer-oriented focus and a passion to achieve results.
o Highly-motivated self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and
willingness to take responsibility/accountability.
o Direct experience with SAP ERP application modules a plus.
