*Duration : 6 Months Contract * *Job Description:* General Description Responsibilities :- - Adhering to SLAs - ITIL Processes awareness and adhering to - Mentoring / Training Team Members - Handling tickets / requests - Perform root cause analysis - Troubleshooting technical issues - Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to - Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration and migration - Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA - Understanding of Multi-geo support environment - Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment - Responsible for strategizing a backup plan and test plan for failure scenario - Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction - Suggests new technologies and design changes - Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members - Planning Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24x7 operation support - Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security level - Testing / Auditing/processes as required from time to time - Identify Skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating - Assist / Plan / Procedure in Data centre consolidation efforts - Perform H/W & performance tuning and maintenance - Day-to-Day reporting analysis tasks - Vendor co-ordination & followup Technical Requirements - Installing, configuring and maintaining Linux Servers (SUSE, RHEL, OEL)/ Virtualization (KVM, Vmware) - Installation and configuration of HA environment using Linux cluster or Veritas Cluster. - Configuration and administration of LVM and Veritas logical volume manager including multipath, SAN Boot configuration - Installing and Maintaining kickstart environment - Patch and Package administration - Exposure to C7000 Chassis and worked on Hp Blade/Rack Mount servers. - Basic understanding of SAP Module to host on SUSE Linux - Writing shell scripts to acomplish day to day system administration task - Configuring and supporting domains - Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue - Administer and configure various FS like JFS,ext2, ext3, OCFS & Pseudo FS - Capacity planning and fine tune system for optimal performance - Knowledge on Apache virtual hosting, SSL website config - Understanding of SAN and NAS storage. - Administration of NIS or LDAP environment - Configuring Unix Security baseline - Performance Management & fine tuning - Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning Soft Skills - Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written) - Good documentation skills - Good working knowledge of MS OFFICE (Including MS Project and Visio) - Should have a great customer handling skills - Able to handle unforeseen situations - High level of acceptance - Can drive HCL's value and its methodology Other Skills / Experience - Worked on Production systems - Datacenter understanding - Experience with Server Migration, Installation, Upgrades and Patching Experience on following will be added advantage - Samba - DNS - NIS+ - Sendmail / Exim / Postfix / Qmail - LDAP - Monitoring Tools (like BMC Patrol, HP openview, IBM Tivoli) Years of Experience Total : 7+ Years of experience Relavant : Minimum of 5 yrs in Linux Administration / Support Certification requirements (*Any 1*) - Red Hat Certified Technician - The Novell Certified Linux Engineer 10 - Red Hat Certified Engineer - Red Hat Certified Datacenter Specialist (RHCDS) - Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS) - Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) - Red Hat Certified Virtualization Administrator (RHCVA) -- *Thanks & Regards* *Raman M* *REASONSOURCETECH.* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle Users" group.
