*Job Title:* Data Analyst *Location:* Torrance, CA *Duration:* 6+ months Onsite contract *Interview:* Telephonic / Skype *Job Description: * This position is responsible for ongoing analysis of TFS information, obtained from a variety of sources, including retail, lease, insurance, marketing, financial, and demographic data. It involves development and preparation of information products for consumption at all levels. It requires the ability to analyze data from conceptualization through presentation. It requires proficiency with various tools (SQL, TSQL, PL/SQL and Excel and Access), knowledge of data analysis methodology, use of presentation software, strong communication skills and a strong commitment to and affinity for delivering the highest level of customer service. *Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities* % of Time Function Goal 50% Perform complex data analysis in support of strategic and tactical initiatives; ad-hoc and new project requests. Delivery of sophisticated analysis products. Accurate and appropriate interpretation of data. Develop useful and insightful information from a variety of data sources. 30% Develop programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data. Well-organized, documented, and maintained data files. Well written, accurate programs to analyze and extract healthcare information. 20% Use and support database applications and analytical tools: evaluate data quality, applications, and functions, produce output, maintain operation Smooth running database applications that support customer needs. Appropriate and optimal use of applications and tools. On-going Develop awareness of and familiarity with issues and events affecting data and the associated processes Improve quality and information value of Data Architecture assets. On-going Contribute to team effort. Coordinated, effective, and efficient team work. Common skill set (tools and data systems) among all TFS data analysts. On-going Provide high level of customer service. Promote an image of a high quality organization through expertise and responsiveness.
