*Key Qualities * · STRONG Communicator, Collaborator, Organizational and Self-sufficiency skills · STRONG Troubleshooting, Problem Solving and Analytical Skills · STRONG “Websphere ND” Experience, version *6.1 or above* Experience · STRONG Understanding of *Middleware **Infrastructure* · STRONG Understanding of *JEE **Architecture* · STRONG *Performance Tuning* Experience · SOLID *UNIX* Experience · SOLID Engineering & *Shell Scripting* ability · SOLID “wsadmin” (jacl or jython) scripting experience · SOLID Experience with Large WebSphere Application Server Topologies using Load Balancers, Clustering , etc… · Must Be a Motivated Self-Starter *Key Responsibilities* · Provide *Level 3 leadership* and support to our Run Organization for WebSphere Application Server and Sun Web Server · Assist with Websphere Application Server ND Version 6.1 to 8.0 Application Migration Activities. · Assist with Automating Administration Tasks to streamline activities and improve reliability. · Provide *Governance* and adherence to Policies, Design Standards, and Best Practices by Developers · Project Consultation including design and coding reviews · Platform: Demand Forecasting, Capacity Planning, Operational Analysis & Reporting *Other Qualifications* Functional/Technical: · Familiar with Application build & Source Code Control tools (e.g. WebSphere Application Server Toolkit, SVN, ANT) · Familiar with Java Development Frameworks (e.g. Struts & Spring) · Familiar with Oracle Solaris 10, SPARC Servers and Solaris Containers & Zone · Familiar with Cisco Application Control Engine (ACE) Load Balancers *General* · Ability to coordinate and follow up on incidents and problems, perform diagnosis, and provide resolution to minimize service interruption · Ability to work both independently and participate as a member of a cross-functional team · Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously · Ability to be a role model and mentor team members *Job Description* This position will provide assistance to CLIENT’s ePedigree WebSphere application and a WebSphere upgrade project from V6 to V8, while also assisting with the ongoing operational health of the shared Web Application Hosting Platform in all environments. The platforms core technology leverages IBM Websphere Application Server ND on the Solaris 10 Operating System and uses Sun’s iPlanet Web Servers.
