Kindly respond to this requirement with your *consultant resume, contact and current location* info to *speed up the interview process. * *You can reach me on 408 599 7639 and Send resumes to * *[email protected] <[email protected]> * *QA Architect* * Portland, OR* *6-12 months Contract* Technical leadership within QA, Development and Release Management teams. • Applies structured QA methodology, and creates complex test strategy & solutions to support specific software testing objectives. • Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect counts, test results, test cycle definition and coverage. • Performs iterative audits of QA deliverables to ensure quality KPIs are measured, and result in feedback for continuous improvements. • Demonstrates expert level of understanding of complex internal IT systems, data integration and applications. • Collects and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements, and integrates them into business processes and needs. • Delivers quality process training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or to influence business or technical partners. • Performs quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures, and methodologies are being followed. • Interfaces with a diverse set of business and technical stakeholders, and seeks collaboration and repeatable patterns of resolution. • Defines testing methodology that may include tools, solutions and processes to support a scalable and repeatable practice. • Supports continuous improvement processes, analyzing problems and recommending actions for effective resolution. • Keeps current with testing and quality trends and techniques, tools and processes. • Proficient in ability to influence & to cultivate innovation within eCommerce & other Internal QA groups • Effective partnering with Architecture, Development and Release Management groups. • Mentors and trains junior team members. What You Need for this Position • 8+ years' experience in applications software testing, preferably in a business-driven environment. • 5+ years' testing eCommerce or similar B2C multi-tier web applications. • 5+ years' experience with Continuous Integration development environment. • 5+ years' experience with on shore / offshore team model. • 3+ years' experience with mobile technologies and application development. • 3+ years' experience with Enterprise Architecture and SOA best practices. • Expert knowledge of common SDLC methodologies (Waterfall to Agile). • Expert level knowledge of QA process and testing methodologies. • Ability to establish, and to evangelize QA best practice across highly matrixed teams. • Experience in architecting or contributing to a complex QA automation infrastructure, or comparable solution. • Extensive experience with automation/programming languages & frameworks. • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of common test automation solutions, similar to Selenium, Jmeter, Watir, LoadRunner, Junit, SoapUI. • Scrum Master, PMP, Sigma Six certification preferred. • Superior verbal and written communication skills. • Superior problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills. • Ability to quickly learn new applications, tools and environments. • Ability to lead technical initiatives from design to deployment.
