The client will hire over the phone/ Skype. Looking for a very strong technical person. Previous banking industry experience would be great but not required. mainframe systems programmers with WAS expertise and they need to have jython and unix experience (not z/linux). *Description:* Enterprise Infrastructure’s Distributed Hosting Web Services Service Delivery has an opportunity for a Mainframe Systems Programmer with WebSphere WAS expertise. The successful candidate will work with a team of mainframe system programmers to support internal business units and their business critical applications and products from development through production. Responsibilities include initial software product install and certification, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, on-call and performance tuning of IBM’s WebSphere mainframe WAS and ODM product offerings. *Responsibilities * • 24 by 7 on-call support providing a high degree of responsiveness and sound trouble-shooting methodologies • Provide production & non-production mainframe support for multiple business critical applications • Support WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Operational Decision Manager, WebSphere Compute Grid, and related products • Install new releases, apply patches and internally regression test said products • Work with the business units as well as with a cross functional worldwide teams to bring new mainframe based applications live • Write standards operating procedures, deployment strategies and best practices Education and Experience • 10 years of experience in the configuration, administration, problem diagnosis and performance tuning of IBM mainframe Websphere products • Have worked in a large multi-datacenter sysplex environment for 7 years.
