we have a long term contract in VA for Junior Linux Admin. We need consultants who are able to attend in-person interview with their own expenses on-site. Location: Chantilly,VA Duration: 12+ months. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree or equivalent in computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience, and 2 years of related experience. Installation, configuration, performance turning, and troubleshooting of Linux and/or Windows environments and products. Windows is not required! Familiarity with the installation, configuration, performance turning, and troubleshooting of Linux and/or Windows environments and products. Experience with the configuration and use of monitoring tools / products within a combined Linux, Windows environment. Ability to define, develop and manage Linux and Windows OS images for use in a hosted VM environment. 2 plus years of experience with a Linux and Windows environment. Documentation skills to include system diagramming and the development of operational support guidelines / reference material. Desired experience with Java based solutions in a Linux environment. Specific experience with JBoss, Apache, Tomcat, James experience a plus. Experience with implementation and administration of operational support tools, processes and procedures. Experience with Linux and Windows in a hosted VMWare environment.
