Job Description:   Business Analyst / Scrum Master As a Sr. Data Warehouse
Business Analyst, the candidate will be focused on the implementation of a
data warehouse solution. We are interested in candidates with strong
knowledge of Upstream Oil and Gas business coupled with Data Warehousing
and Agile methodology for development. The Business Analyst must have a
strong technical background with respect to data. Candidates must have
demonstrated experience analyzing data, working with databases, writing
complex SQL queries, strong documentation skills. Candidates must have
excellent oral and written communication skills, strong customer service
skills, the ability to multitask, and the ability to work independently. A
qualified candidate should be highly self-motivated, have a sharp attention
to detail, and possess proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. The
successful candidate should be a quality-oriented team player who desires a
challenging role to include strong written and oral communication, strong
documentation skills, customer service skills and the ability to work well
under pressure, as well as possess the ability to multi-task and problem
solve. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Data Quality/ Profiling /Solution Testing – Works with technical
development team to develop UAT test processes and ensures the overall data
solution meets business requirements and functions as per original design
specifications. Works with business to remedy any data quality issues and
data gaps and assists with resolving these issues with customer and data
architect team. Ensure source to target documents are correct prior to
development coding by writing SQL scripts along with data analyst using
existing data and prototype data for user acceptance prior to execution
phase of project. Along with data architect develop validation test scripts
for source to target ETL to ensure accuracy. Ensure system deliverables
meet business requirements by participating in identifying, designing and
testing solutions. Ensure requirements integrity by managing changes to
requirements. Assist in translating requirements into test conditions and
expected results for product, performance, and user acceptance testing.

• Scrum Master o Essential Duties: - Guiding the team and organization on
how to use Agile/Scrum practices - Guiding the team on how to get the most
out of self-organization - Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and
organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace
that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization -
Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding
the right personnel to remove the impediment. - Building a trusting and
safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame,
retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem
solving. - Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning,
or dictating the work. - Facilitating discussion, decision making, and
conflict resolution - Assisting with internal and external communication,
improving transparency, and radiating information - Supporting and
educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and
maintaining the product backlog. - Providing all support to the team using
a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example

*Requirements:*
• A thorough understanding of ETL processing, data warehouse methods and
underlying data warehouse data models.
• Very knowledgeable about Upstream Oil and Gas business, its processes and
the operational data that supports the business
• Solid research and analysis skills
• First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I)
• Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a
software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles,
practices, and theory.
• Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation,
situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement,
empowerment, and increasing transparency
• Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling
in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous
Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)
• Knowledge of data warehousing projects and how major pieces fit together
• Minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of SQL, data analytics, reporting,
and relational database experience
• 5 + years writing system requirements
• 5 + years in data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts
• 5 + years proven experience providing data analysis and profiling
services
• 5+ years of demonstrable experience providing data analysis expertise
contributing towards Master and Reference data management solutions
• Excellent SQL coding skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent team work and collaboration skills
• Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts and ETL design
