The program objective is to replace the core HR platform with a new SaaS
solution and address all integrations internal, external and across the
 Federated organization. This resource would be joining the program at the
business requirements/functional design phase

Must have:
10+ years’ experience as a Business Systems Analyst
Solid Functional Design experience
Solid experience in interface, integration & data mapping definition &
design
Solid analytical skills
HR experience
Strong SQL experience
Visio, Quality Center experience

Plus:

General Summary
The Business Systems Analyst manages the requirements for IT technology
deployment projects throughout the project life cycle. Through one on one
interviews, JAR and JAD sessions, the Business Systems Analyst gathers
requirements from project stakeholders and ensures all requirements are met
throughout design, development, testing and deployment. The BSA is
responsible for the development and maintenance of requirement, design and
configuration documentation. They must interact with technical leads in the
creation of technical and infrastructure designs and the validation of unit
tests. They must work very closely with test leads in the creation of the
test strategy, plan and scripts as well as in the resolution of defects
resulting from all test phases. The BSA must also interface with the
Business Consultants throughout the project life cycle in the gathering of
business requirements, development of user acceptance tests, creation of
training materials and deployment of new technology to the end users. They
must assist in the initial support activities during the project
stabilization period and transfer knowledge and support to the appropriate
technology owner(s). This person must be a self-starter and self sufficient
in all day to day analysis activities, requiring minimal supervision of
project responsibilities. The ideal Business Systems Analyst will possess a
unique blend of business, technical and people skills.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interprets user needs into business requirements.
Solicits non-functional requirements from appropriate project stakeholders.
Reframes and challenges the way business partners use technology for
business enablement. Proactively suggests unique solutions.
Stimulates creative ideas from others. Creatively integrates different
ideas and perspectives.
Considers alternative solutions before making design decisions.
Develops functional specifications from project requirements for new
systems, system changes and / or system enhancements.
Sifts through data and determines which is relevant and which is not.
Challenges received information until truth is revealed.
Interprets technical documentation to meet business needs. Correctly
identifies system / functional interdependencies.
Analyzes the functionality of packaged applications and assists in
implementation and configuration in order to meet business needs. Able to
work with external vendors.
Evaluates business process implications of system requirements and makes
appropriate design recommendations.
Presents ideas in a focused and concise manner. Able to create compelling
business justification for recommended direction and design. Leads
effective meetings.
Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and written communication skills
to frequently interact with all levels of the organization.
Experience with prototype development, data mapping, data modeling and data
retrieval.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work independently and within cross
functional project teams.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Technical area with a MIS
concentration preferred. CCBA or CBAP certifications desirable.
Experience Required: At least 10 years of experience in supporting the
deployment and support of Business Applications.
