*Position: SOA Tester* *Location: Hendon, VA* *Duration: long term* Technical Competence (List specific skills) Rating 1 to 5 1.SOA experience 2.Java application testing 3.Testing application using Tibco or MQ 4.Webservice Testing 5.SQL and Unix experience *SOA & Webservice Lead Tester* * Excellent written and verbal skills; able to communicate effectively and concisely to stakeholders * In-depth understanding of software testing principles and practices (e.g., white box testing, black box testing, risk based testing, requirements analysis) * Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle, configuration management and release cycles * Minimum 6+ years of testing projects implementing waterfall and agile methodologies * Minimum 4+ years testing experience with messaging based systems and ESB's like TIBCO EMS OR JMS including a good understanding of SOA concepts and test tools * Extensive knowledge of XML, WSDL, Web Services and Client/Server messaging is required * Familiarity with application servers and containers such as WebLogic, JBoss or Apache Tomcat * Ability to understand requirements for testing SOA implementations * Experience in writing and executing test scenarios for JMS and web service testing * Ability to create test harness and test scripts using Java * Exposure to tools sets like SOAPUI, JUnit, Gems * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills * Understanding of Object Oriented concepts * Very strong UNIX and shell scripting experience required * Demonstrated experience with data validation testing on large complex projects * Strong experience with SQL and Oracle databases * Software test automation experience using HP Service Test, Selenium, Quick Test Professional or Visual Basic * Ability to manage change effectively * Ability to muli-task and work in a demanding environment * Experience with Quality Center, DOORS, ClearQuest and SharePoint * Create and maintain a test plan that defines test methods and tools to be employed for the assigned project and accurately scope the required resources and other project parameters for assigned projects. * Conduct, or lead the conduct of the test plan on the assigned application. Provide technical guidance to other members of testing team. * Compile and maintain accurate test metrics.
