Job Title: Windows 2012 Server consultant Location: Sacramento, CA Duration: 12+ months Onsite Contract Interview: Telephonic/Skype Job description: The scope of this engagement encompasses the following tasks: · ? Provide consultation to staff in evaluating, testing, adopting, implementing and supporting the appropriate edition of Windows 2012 Server (i.e., Foundation, Essential, Standard and Datacenter), to standardize and effectively host virtual and physical servers to meet business and technical requirements; · ? Provide expertise in Windows 2012 Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services, DNS, and DHCP with redundancy, IP Address management with redundancy, and Active Directory Rights Management; · ? Design, build, configure, test and implement Windows 2012 Active Directory Federation Services, DHCP, DNS and IP Address Management services for high availability and resiliency; · Provide consultation to staff in establishing and adopting standard configurations for Windows 2012 Server on VMWare virtual and physical servers; · ? Build and configure Windows 2012 servers on VMWare hypervisors and/or physical hardware; · ? Design and implement a standard Failover Cluster to host SQL AlwaysOn clustering capability; · ? Provide technical support in planning, testing and implementing changes to servers in non-production and production environments; · ? Assess and recommend improvements to current processes and procedures; · ? Utilize documented materials (e.g., processes, procedures, specifications, etc.) to provide technical knowledge transfer to staff. · ? Educate Client application owners on 2012 server functionality/features to make the migration to 2012 server desirable. The following minimum requirements are required for this engagement: · ? 5+ years of comprehensive and practical experience in Windows Server 2008/2012 administration; · ? Comprehensive experience designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments with Windows Active Directory, Windows clustering, DNS and DHCP; · ? Networking protocols including TCP/IP addressing, subnets, VLANs, routing, TCP and UDP, and firewall rules; · ? Expert knowledge and demonstrated experience in the following areas: · AD Application Mode · AD Federation Services · Identity Lifecycle Manager · DNS and DHCP · IP Address Management, · Active Directory Rights Management · Trusts and Group Policy Objects (GPO) · Directory Services and Branch Office Deployments · IT operations and optimization · Core Windows Services and Protocols · Windows Security Architecture · Certificate Services · Clustering and Load Balancing · Core Networking Protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) · AD Replication Schemes, Directory virtualization, Authentication providers (NTLM, Kerberos, Claims, Etc.) · LDAP query language · Backup and recovery of AD systems · ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a demonstrated ability to achieve high customer satisfaction in high pressure environment · ? Proven experience working on projects through the entire project lifecycle, while maintaining high customer satisfaction · DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS · ? Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Windows 2012 · ? Automation scripting (PowerShell) · ? Server Virtualization using VMware vSphere version 5.1 · ? Experience with MS SCCM/SCOM · ? Principles of ITIL · ? Experience with F5 load balancers · ?
