- 7+ years of experience building J2EE compliant applications using JSP, Servlets, Hibernate, and Spring framework. - Good UI Skills with experience in jQuery, Javascript and HTML. - Strong Java language fundamental knowledge and experience in Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) based application development. - Experience with relational databases including Oracle database. - Experience in writing reports with Jasper/iReports - Proficient in all phases of System Development Life Cycle and methodologies, especially of modern iterative methods. - Prior experience with workflow solutions preferred. *GENERAL SKILLS: * - Strong communication skills with ability to articulate and present creative ideas - Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight timelines - Passion for design and eagerness to collaborate with other creative people - Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively with a across-departmental team - Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently *JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:* 1. Executes and leads the new development, enhancement and maintenance of enterprise-class transactional systems and Web applications 2. Participates in all phases of full life-cycle development of the system, including requirements analysis, software design, software implementation, testing, deployment and documentation 3. Analyze functional requirements and troubleshoot application code issues utilizing proprietary software and technologies 4. Evaluates product change requests and takes appropriate action to make required changes 5. Provides guidance to entry level engineering staff 6. Conducts system analysis and development, with limited support 7. Performs functional analysis and design for small to moderate projects 8. Coordinates with other technical specialists, project managers, engineers and contractors to ensure timely and effective management of resources 9. Develops code for modules of small to large scope 10. May oversee user acceptance testing and unit testing 11. Leads group discussions with peers or external groups 12. Works with external vendors, when necessary 13. Performs data modeling / database design work 14. Writes concise and clear technical documents 15.
