Position : Oracle Database Administrator Location : Columbia, MD Duration : 6+ months Type : Contract Start : ASAP Interview : telephonic + skype *Job Description* *Must Have:* · Experience providing database administration services in a Oracle 11g environment running on Linux. · Experience with providing and maintaining high availability and disaster recovery using Oracle Data Guard · Experience with providing and maintaining high scalability and availability with Real Application Cluster (RAC). · Expertise in Oracle instance configuration and tuning. · Expertise in Linux shell and Perl scripting. · Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux 6.x. · Expertise with physical database design issues. · Expertise with database backup and recovery issues, including hot backup scenarios. · Experience with Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM). · Experience with Installing, Configuring, monitoring and maintaining Exadata. *Preferred:* · Experience with the CA All Fusion data modeling tool. · Experience leading and conducting technical reviews of physical database models. · Experience participating as a subject matter and technical expert in technical reviews of physical database models. · Experience creating and providing design artifacts for technical reviews of physical database models. · Experience administering databases that house Medicare and Medicaid data *Required Skills & Years of Experience* · 6 years as an Oracle Database administrator. *Desired Skills & Years of Experience* · 2 additional years of experience as systems admin in a linux environment.
