JIRA Administrator

Location: Sunrise, FL

Duration: 6months plus



*JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

o    Installs, configures, maintains, and enhances the Atlassian systems
that we use to manage work (JIRA Project Administrator/JIRA Admin, 5 Yrs
and above)

o    Ensure systems are stable and available and that user issues are
addressed in a timely manner

o    Strong focus on Jira Administration involving custom projects,
workflows, fields, dashboards and reports configurations

o    Administer the JIRA and Confluence instances on a day to day basis
including performance tuning/scaling the instances, JIRA tools
administration

o    Guides and maintains the organization of data in Confluence

o    Utilizes Stash and Bamboo to help the team with all release and
configuration related tasks around software builds into preproduction and
production environments

o    User Management, Manages system access across groups to ensure
compliance and maintain best practices

o    Proficiency with Data migration using scripts

o    Proficiency with various schemes

o    Knowledge in Java, JSON, Rest Full ServiceAPIs, Groovy & Open Source
Technologies

o    Understanding of Java and Tomcat servers for JIRA-SVN, GIT,etc
integration.

o    Provide technical advice to editorial and design teams on new
application concepts, and establish feasibility

o    To collaborate effectively with other technical teams to exploit new
technologies to enhance the applications and service infrastructure.

o    Be able to identify where functionality can and cannot meet user
requests

o    Be aware of facilities for extending the tools, for the extensions

o    Looks for ways to improve the software and systems already in place

o    Performs other duties as assigned



*REQUIRED*

o    Minimum 4-year’s Experience working directly with a project/task
management toolset

o    Minimum 1 year experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and other
Atlassian products

o    Established history working in Linux environments and supporting the
Atlassian toolset from a stability and performance perspective

o    Solid understanding of the SDLC and project management methodologies

o    Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a fast-paced
environment

o    Ability to analyze and review current functionality to determine
potential areas of improvement

o    Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to
effectively communicate with internal and external customers

o    Strong work ethic with good time management and the ability to work
with diverse teams.
