Job Requirements:
A strong background with backup systems, both hardware and software is
required. Experience with Symantec Netbackup. Familiarity with SAN-based
and IP-based backup solutions. Expert in operating systems, subsystems, and
Symantec Vendor products (Netbackup).
Experience with Symantec NetBackup in a large multi-platform environment
including NBU v6.x/7.x, SSO, Master/media server and client configurations.
Experience installing, configuring, supporting and maintaining enterprise
backups in a large heterogeneous data center environment.
Experience supporting high volume production support environment.
Experience configuring fiber-based tape and disk environments consisting of
IBM tape libraries and tape devices, EMC Data Domains, SUN/STK tape devices
as well as Cisco/McData/Brocade switch/director infrastructure and EMC EDL
disk subsystems.
Good understanding of networking protocols
Experience with support, troubleshooting and problem resolution for tape
backup and SAN environments.
Experience with Tape Storage Capacity Planning.
Experience with backup and DR recovery technologies and techniques
encompassing architecture, design implementation and support functions.
Demonstrated ability to provide technical recommendations on backup
architecture.

Preferred Experience:
Strong knowledge in backup/recovery administration/design responsibilities
in an enterprise environment. Linux, UNIX (Solaris/AIX) and Windows
experience is a plus.
Experience with Fiber Channel attached SAN storage, ISCSI, and Network
Attached Storage solutions a plus.
Significant experience with Enterprise level backup and recovery software
such as Symantec NetBackup VBR and NOM will be viewed favorably
Prior work experience with provisioning, troubleshooting, and administering
EMC storage hardware including Symmetrix, VMAX, VnX, Clariion, NS,
Enterprise Disk Library (EDL), Celerra, and Centera.
Prior experience with IBM XIV and DS8000 arrays.
Prior work experience with EMC SAN management tools including EMC Control
Center, Connectrix (ECFM), Time Finder, Symmetrix Remote Data Facility
(SRDF), Performance Manager, Storage Scope, Symcli, and NetApp (Onaro)
SANscreen.
Prior experience with Hitachi storage arrays and NAS/HNAS support
