Seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to maintain, design and
develop dynamic web applications using state-of-the-art development tools
in a Java centric environment. Position involves creation of aesthetically
pleasing web pages to display functional content from various data sources.
Qualified candidates must possess high energy and motivation, be capable of
working in an intense, rewarding team environment and be capable of
providing architectural solutions to complex issues.
Position Objectives:
Design, develop, maintain and support applications
Interface with various teams to provide solutions
Essential duties:
Design, develop, document, test and deploy code in a multi-tiered
environment
Work with business analysts in gathering requirements
Develop working prototypes and mockups based on business
requirements
Collaborate with developers in other teams in integrating the
portal software
Propose system requirements
Initiate new technologies, ideas and architecture for building
high performance websites
Provide engineering support for the portal software
Required skills:
8-10 years experience in designing, developing and testing object
oriented applications in Java with considerable experience in full
life-cycle development.
Minimum 3 years experience in web development using JSP, Java
Servlets, SQL, AJAX
1-2 years experience developing UI applications using Flex, GWT
Knowledge of various Java libraries
Knowledge of generating dynamic PDF and Excel documents
Advanced proficiency in developing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTML
forms and complex tables, XML and XSLT
Working knowledge of Tomcat or other webservers
Knowledge of packages such as Adobe Photoshop a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired skills:
Experience with formal software development practices
Experience with HTML5, GWT, Flex
Experience developing mobile/tablet applications
Experience with dynamic charting packages & reporting packages
Experience in building web portals
Knowledge of network protocols a plus
Knowledge of hosting business and cloud technologies a plus
