*Mandatory Technical/Functional Skills:*
• Create and execute test plans and test cases using HP ALM
• Experience in developing test plans, executing test cases, tracking test
progress, evaluating results, and triaging defects
• Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience working as a part of a
scrum team
• Ability to access, read, and interpret application log files and event
queues, write SQL queries, access LDAP directories
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact
effectively with test engineers, product engineers, project managers,
developers, business analysts, and operations teams
• Demonstrated flexibility to meet aggressive timelines generally
associated with testing activities
• Needs to be able to independently create and execute test plans, analyze
test results and be confident making decisions and providing
recommendations for improvement
Hands-on testing experience preferred but general understanding of one or
more of the following concepts:
• Microsoft Exchange 2007 and/or 2010, Active Directory, SQL Server, SPLUNK
• Email protocols (MAPI, IMAP, POP, SMTP) and/or email security, anti-abuse
technologies
• Microsoft HMC (Hosted Messaging and Collaboration) technologies such as
SharePoint, Lync, active sync, auto discover, etc.
• Web hosting, domain management, billing and data provisioning systems,
order management, trouble ticket management, service assurance
• Testing and support for voice calling features, voicemail, call records
• Application testing and support on mobile device platforms such as iOS
and Android
• SOAP UI, WCF/Web Service, API functional, automated, and performance
testing and troubleshooting
• Automation/coding background in development of web sites, web
applications, web services leveraging C, C#, .net and familiarity with
HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, etc
• Oracle / LDAP or any other DBA experience
• Performance testing experience (designed, built and executed performance
tests for both browser and non-browser applications) as well as ability to
analyze performance test results to identify the root cause of performance
issues and bottlenecks, and provide recommendations for remediation
