*Location: Houston*
* , TX Duration: 6+ months*
*Job Description:*
- Works primarily in Electrical engineering in product development,
design, and/or R&D.
- Projects are of moderate size and complexity incorporating multiple
enhancements and product application.
- Responsible for technical discussions, Prototyping, resolving single
product issues.
- Under general supervision, plans, conducts and supervises tasks in
assigned projects
*Technical skills:*
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Master’s Degree in
Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of Analog Design experience especially within
Communications
- Analog Instrumentation:
- Signal detection and conditioning
- Analog Filtering
- Signal analysis
- Familiar with analog-to-digital digital devices and conversion
protocol / Formats
- Communication over long wireline (25K ft. or 8Km)
- Communication protocols (DSL, ADSL, Manchester, RS485, I2C, SPI,
etc.)
- Analog Signal simulation (Spice, Signal Integrity Analysis, Mathcad,
Math lab)
- Sensor characterization, testing, signal conditioning
- Circuit design (Freq: up to 1 GHz).
- PC board design,
- Layout, assembly, testing
- Be able to use Altium resources, functions and files (layout review
and layout)
- Design for Manufacturing
- Electronic mechanical packaging (DFM, DFA processes)
- Reliability testing and assessment (DFR)
- Able to work independently as well as part of a project-Team providing
and receiving cross-functional design requirements
- Documentation – for manufacturing procedures and operations end user
- Good communication skills; both verbally and written
