*3+ months* *Client: Noridian Mutual Services* *Rate: $60/hr on C2C* *Key Skills* • 40-50% Business Facing skills and 80-100% data modeling experience • Preferably from an SOA based Service/Application oriented data modeling background and be intimately familiar with various types of system architecture (internal systems/mainframe based), data modeling/mapping, XML schemas • Advocate on behalf of Enterprise Architecture in general, and technical data governance of Data architecture specifically to align IT, corporate, and business executives as well as other key stakeholders • Define, design, and oversee implementation of standards and best practices involved in modeling, describing data entities and relationships, as well as supporting Metadata • Keywords: data modeling/mapping, schema design, MDM, B.I, MetaData, Data Integration, Logical or Physical Model, Data Roadmap, ETL, SOA, Integration, Data Architecture, Framework, TOGAF, Patterns, Roadmap, POC, Proof of Concept, Information architecture · Provides and communicates project and enterprise level solution design and solutions to both IT and business initiatives at large. · Enforces best practices, design patterns and defines standards. · Works closely with onsite developers and offsite vendors to enforce standards and ensure quality. · Provides expertise to identify and translate business capability requirements into overall solution design deliverable to be consumed by development and infrastructure teams in constructing the solution. · Leads development of formalized solution methodologies. · Interfaces and coordinates tasks with internal and external technical resources. · Collaborates with Project Managers and technical directors or provision estimates, develop overall implementation solution plan and serve lead as required to implement installation, customization, and integration efforts. · Oversee overall solution and individual major technical aspects of project life cycle, from initial kickoff through requirements analysis, design and implementation phases for projects within solution area. · Ensure project architecture and solution design is in alignment with established Enterprise Architecture strategy, roadmap and standards and maximizes re-use of existing enterprise services and components. · Identifies opportunities where a business or IT initiative can create larger economies of scale by architecting solutions components that lend themselves for broader enterprise use. · Identifies, assesses and mitigates technical and financial risks associated with the project including those associated with enterprise operations. *Knowledge* · Expert-level business knowledge and skills (e.g., business processes and planning, capability road mapping, budget planning, metrics, etc.) · Expert-level enterprise architecture knowledge and skills (e.g., information/data road mapping and governance, framework standards and development, architecture views modeling, architecture risk assessment, etc.) · Expert-level project management knowledge and skills (e.g., program-wide dependencies, project resource planning, change management, etc.) · Expert-level IT knowledge and skills (e.g., app development frameworks, SaaS, virtualization, master data design and management, etc.) · Thorough knowledge of healthcare and insurance industries · Demonstrated experience and consistent success with enterprise IT matters · Display exceptional verbal and written communication skills · Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities · Thorough knowledge of enterprise technology, development and marketing · Working knowledge and utilization of tools to depict logical/physical architecture diagrams, depicting blue prints, Sequence, Class diagrams *Abilities* · Ability to act as the highest escalation resource for unprecedented technology issues/situations within an IT segment · Ability to direct and lead others to accomplish goals · Advanced skills in problem management and conflict resolution; ability to work through issues with very strong communication skills, both verbal and written · Ability to execute objectives that are defined in collaboration with senior management and results are assessed from a relatively long-term perspective · Strong critical thinking analysis approach during the evaluation and decision making process · Thorough understanding of company systems and their strategic purposes · Actions that reflect the highest levels of ethics and integrity · Ability to recommend policies and strategic goals, manage, and assume risk for the technology function under limited oversight · Ability to negotiate effectively on critical issues with financial and strategic factors in mind.
