Job Summary:
This position is responsible for developing and implementing a
comprehensive quality assurance program for ensuring the quality of
software produced by multiple development teams, reporting test status and
ensuring the successful release of the final products in the Information
Technology department.
Responsibilities:
Lead QA efforts for new development projects during the
development and implementation phases
Apply structured testing methodology and strategies
Develop and apply standards to ensure the quality of
requirements and design specifications
Develop and apply standards to ensure code quality
including conducting code reviews
Develop and apply standards to ensure the quality of code
integration including implementing CI (continuous integration)
Develop test plans to cover requirements utilizing a
traceability matrix
Create comprehensive test cases/scripts that are in
accordance with business and technical specifications
Perform test case reviews with Business Analysts and the
Development Team
Assist with test data identification
Plan and schedule test activities to ensure functional,
system, integration, and regression testing
Manage the testing program
Develop and apply standards to ensure the application?s
ability to meet nonfunctional requirements via load testing
Monitor test progress throughout the release cycle and
communicate test results, issues and risks to project team members, project
managers and IT management
Ensure all testers create necessary defect tickets
Handle communications regarding the overall quality
assurance program with all parties including updates to management.
