Knowledge of various technologies and frameworks, such as:
HTTP/ HTTPS
XML/XSDs
Spring
Struts
ASP.NET
ORMs
NHibernate
Ability to learn and apply new skills/ concepts quickly
Strong commitment to quality
Development practices including use of Unit Testing,
Continuous Integration and Source Control
Demonstrated efficiency in gathering, interpreting and
analyzing requirements to identify business problems and opportunities
Understanding of the full application life-cycle from
inception through maintenance
Solves new and/or familiar problems independently and
without introducing regressions
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Skills
Possess Multi- platform/ languages (Aside from Java, may
have .NET, C++, or others to compliment experience)
Lead small teams through the life cycle of a project
Required Experience
5+ years’ experience in web and/or client server
application development and/or relevant experience
Preferred Experience:
Work experience with relational databases and web
application servers
Agile/ Scrum experience
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science or related.
Master's preferred.
Experience may be considered in lieu of completed Degree.
